06/16/19 After what seemed like an eternity later, we finally arrived in Athens! Wandering through customs, keeping an eye out for what's to come. As we arrive at our meet up spot, we meet a few people who will be joining us, Kirsten, Brooklyn, and Tori. The three met in college and decided to meet up for a summer trip. Kirsten, a tall blonde gorgeous woman with a nose piercing. Brooklyn, a petite beautiful girl with long brown curly hair. And Tori a tall, beautiful brunette with eyes the color of the sea. Our tour director arrives and introduces himself as Georgios, a bald bearded man with a very kind heart. He looks at each of us trying to figure out who is who. After we all convene we head towards the tour bus and make our way to the hotel. My cousin and I are paired with a gorgeous, tall, green eyed woman of German descent from Georgia by the name of Gabrielle. As we settle in, we begin to talk and instantly click as though we have known each other for more than a few hours. An hour or two passes and we head down to the lobby to meet with Georgios. He begins explaining the guidelines and tours and how the next week and a half will be panning out. Afterwards he gives us a bit of time until we head into the city for the welcome dinner and a mini tour. We go back to the room, jet lagged taking the time to indulge in the beds then head down. We meet with the crew and begin heading downtown towards the metro to get us to the restaurant we have reservations at. After a short 15 minute trip we arrive at the village. Located just under the acropolis, we head into the city for a fantastic view of the urban streets. Each bar and restaurant unique in itself with such individual names and influences. Once we finish we finally head up to a rooftop restaurant with a stunning view of the acropolis across. We dine on falafel's, pitas, kebabs, and free alcohol (well included). After dining and playing a game of Never Have I Ever, but instead with the saying- "stand up if.." some head back to the hotel while we hang back to go to a bar called "6 Dogs". A well hidden place in an alley that leads to a rainbow lit stairway to a beautiful outdoor garden and bar. After a few drinks we decided it's best to come home as we have a big day tomorrow! The Acropolis Tour! Today was really good and the people we have come across have been so great, I can't wait for what the rest of the trip has to offer. Catch yall at the acropolis! - Signing out, Jess.
