06/15/19 Its 3am, and I'm awoken by the sound of my alarm. I reluctantly get out of bed and head to the shower. As I let the hot water wake my body up I cant help but realize that today is the day I have been waiting for, for the past 9 months. It suddenly hits me that by this time tomorrow I'll be on one of the vacation of my dreams, in beautiful Greece. 3:30am comes and I realize it's time to head out. As my aunt comes to drop my cousin off, we share our loving goodbyes and my sister, cousin and I head to LAX. Honestly, 4am is the best time to go to LA as I'm pretty sure it's the only time theres seldom any traffic. As we day our goodbyes we head into the terminal, through security and into our gate. We have about an hour til we board and decide to get a little Starbucks. Their machine was down so I couldn't use my gift card and they ended up getting my order wrong but it was fine, because I'm on my way to Greece and I'm too excited to care. The first flight was to JFK in NY and I was able to squeeze 2.5 movies in there. I couldn't sleep for the life of me even though I had only slept 3 hours the night before. As we are halfway into our second flight, direct from JFK to Athens, it dawned on me that we have literally jumped into the future twice in the span of one day. First at 3 hours, next at 10! Honestly the 14 hours total weren't too bad. We flew with Delta and were treated with amazing customer service and complimentary meals, movies, wifi and even a sleep kit. I would definitely recommend the airline to any of those expecting to travel internationally soon. Since we still have about 5 hours to go, I'm going to take advantage and try to finish up my homework as much as I can so i wont need to worry later on and afterwards hopefully get some rest in before we land! See y'all in Greece! -Signing out, Jess
